Oh boy!

So yesterday Travis and I took a quick trip to Vegas to see a few friends for different reasons...more on that later. Anyway, Auntie Amy was nice enough to sit with the kids for the day. I was told about the following conversation that occured at approximately 8pm while Aunite was using the potty...

Landon: (looking very confused) "Auntie, where weiner go?"
Amy: Landon, Auntie doesn't have a weiner!"
Landon: "A weiner go Auntie?"
Amy: Laughing too hard to try and explain.

And, ladies and gentleman, he is only 2! Mama has some explaining to do...for now I am going to ignore his questions and pretend I didn't hear him if he asks again!

Wrightwood Christmas

Last Friday (better late than never) we went to Wrightwood with my parents. We are so lucky to live less than 10 minutes from this wonderful mountain community that always seems to be hosting some fun family events! Last weekend they were having the annual Christmas celebration. All the local businesses stayed open late for Christmas shopping, they held a tree lighting ceremony, there were Carolers, hot chocolate, and of course Santa! The line to sit with Santa was really long and Landon made it very clear that he was not going anywhere near him, LOL. Better luck next week when we take the kids to the mall to see Santa! We had such a fun (and COLD) time! I can't wait to make this our newest tradition and head back next year.
The kids with Grandpa and Grandma
I had to post this in B&W because Brynne had red-eye so bad from the flash~
Not the best family photo, lol, but the background was beautiful!~

Watching Santa and Mrs. Clause arrive in their sleigh~

Grandma gave Brynne a Christmas cookie~
LOL, I had to post this! Brynne and Landon crawling around and playing at the coffee house we stopped at~

Daddy and his princess~

They were so happy to be out and about that night~

Favorite Foto Friday

There's no preselected theme for this weeks FFF, so I have decided to post these pictures as my favorite for this week!

This is Brynne yesterday. 10 1/2 months old~
This is Landon 02-24-07. He was 7 1/2 months old. Just thought it was funny that they were both taking their socks off, in the car!

SO blessed to call these 2 my babies!

This time last year...

It's amazing how fast 2008 has gone by for our family. This time last year I was still pregnant with Brynne and we had just moved into our home. Landon was 18 months old and still our 'baby.' My how things have changed! Brynne will be 11 months old on Dec. 18th and we just celebrated the 1 year anniversary of moving into our home. Here are a few pictures from 2006 and 2007~

This is Christmas 2007. Just 3 weeks after this picture was taken Brynne was born! You can tell just by looking at my fat face! Landon was still putting both arms up (with fingers pointed) whenever anyone said "say cheese!"
Travis and I

Landon's first Christmas! 5 months old. He has that 'Deer in the Headlights' look, but I LOVE this picture...one of my favorites!

I'm going to go out tonight and find another infant Santa hat. I can't remember what we did with the one Landon was wearing, but I want to get a similar picture of Brynne wearing one. She's a lot older than he was though...and a lot more active! Not too sure what she'll think about wearing a hat either, lol. I'm going to try though!

24 days until Christmas!

Christmas Survey! TAG, you're it. Copy and repost on your blog!

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I don't recall any bad gifts...I guess I am a lucky girl!

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? I have started a tradition with the kids that Travis' mom did with him. The kids each may open one (parent selected) gift on Christmas Eve. This gift will always be pajamas and they get to wear them to bed. That way everyone looks nice for Christmas morning pictures. Everything else gets opened Christmas Day.

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? I'd have to say that it is dark at 5pm! I HATE that!

23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I love themed trees - ours is blue, white and silver. All of my decorations are snowmen or snowflake themed. I don't much care for red and green.

24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? We have a big spaghetti dinner on Christmas. Funny thing, we're not even Italian, lol. It's SO good though. My parents make the BEST spaghetti sauce, YUMMY!

25. What do you want for Christmas this year? Just for my babies to be healthy and happy! And a white Christmas would be nice too (;

Not Me! Monday

It's Monday again..time for another round of Not Me!Monday. Visit MckMama's Blog and join in on the fun and laughter. And spend a little time reading about her 4 beautiful children! Here we go...

I most certainly did not take Landon out in public in his pajama's last night, at 7 pm, just to buy ice cream! I have always hated when mom's take their kids out in their pajama's, and if I were to ever do that then I would be a pretty hypocritical person right? Good thing that didn't happen to me!

I also did not turn the car around 5 minutes after I left the house the other day and come alll the way back home just to grab the bow I left sitting on my bed for Brynne's hair. I would never worry about Brynne being seen in public without one of her precious bows! And that would waste so much time and add 10 minutes to my trip. Nope, I just wouldn't do it.

Good thing the kids get along so well these days! If sitting on the couch blogging I happen to glance over and see Landon push his 10 month old sister to the ground that would require a time out, an apology, and a calm lecture about how we should treat our baby sister right? Well good thing that did not happen to me, just this morning! And I would never ignore the fact that Landon pushed Brynne and I definitely would not glance over and say "Brynne, you're fine! Stop crying!"

I would never allow my 10 month old daughter to ride in a forward facing car seat! She must be at least 1 year old and 20 lbs. to do that! I would never let her ride in a vehicle in which it is impossible to load a rear facing car seat. I would not do this, and then drive extra carefully and slow the entire time. Not this Mama. This Mama follows ALL rules!

Can't wait to see what things I absolutely WON'T do this week! Happy Monday everyone! Here's to a fast week.
