Landon is 2!!

2 Years ago, on July 6th 2006 our boy Landon Jay was born. I had an easy pregnancy and a fairly easy delivery. Landon slept through the night at 7 weeks and started walking at 8 months. He was off the bottle at 11 months and into a big boy bed at 22 months. At 2 years Landon is already potty trained and continues to hit each milestone early and with little effort. He is truly a boy in every sense of the word! No puddle is left unsplashed, no rock left unturned, no bug left alone, no ball left unthrown, and no airplane left unnoticed!! He is interested in everything around him and can not keep his hands off of anything! Everything is amazing to him and he will figure anything out. He is a loving big brother to Brynne and has a sweet heart. He loves his family so much, but HATES to be questioned or told no! He wants so badly to be with Mama every minute, but desperately wants to do everything Dad does. He is a good balance between both Travis and I, and suprises us every day with how much he understands. I am convinced he is 2...going on 14! He is stubborn and kind, rough yet tender, curious and assertive, intelligent and happy. Most of all he is LOVED! Happy Birthday to my baby boy, today he is 2! Here are some pictures of Landon from the past 2 years~

Landon's Birthday Party

On Sunday we celebrated Landon's 2nd birthday with a pizza party! Thank you to all of our friends and family that helped our little boy have a great day! It was a long tiring day for Mama, not without stress! I went to the market in the morning to get some groceries and pick up Landon's cake. When I got home Travis and I were unloading the van and after our first trip inside with groceries we realized Landon went back outside. There Mama found him in the front seat of the van, STANDING ON HIS CAKE BOX! Ugh, I got so upset and was crying while Travis got the cake out of the car. Poor Landon did not understand why Mama was so upset! Looking back I wish I would have not been so upset and would have thought to take a picture! The day turned out great though and Landon was exhausted by the time bedtime rolled around! Happy 2nd birthday!

He's Almost Two ):

Today Auntie Amy (with the help of Uncle Nate) surprised Landon with some early birthday gifts! On Sunday July 6th Landon will be two, and we have been working on the transition from crib to Big Boy Bed! So far it has been an easy transition that Landon immediately accepted. However we never did change his room, just put the new bed in there and threw on the cheapest sheets we could find (Landon is recently potty trained). So this evening, with Auntie and Uncle's gifts we re-did Landon's room and it is SOOOOOO cute! We still plan on doing some painting and adding a few other pieces but here are some pictures of our work so far!

Thank you Auntie Amy and Uncle Nate for the coolest room ever! I love you! Love, Landon XOXO

Brynne

We have had so many things going on in the last few days! Our princess Miss Brynne has graduated from her infant carrier to a big girl car seat! I was getting sick of carrying her in and out with the heavy carrier so I put the new car seat in the car...and she loves it!

Another big milestone is also right around the corner! Yesterday morning Brynne started scooting herself along the floor! She is desperately trying to find her independence and crawl. At only 5 1/2 months this is a big deal in our house. Landon skipped rolling and crawling all together and walked at 8 months. It is neat to see Brynne learn all the steps for development in the correct order (:

Man, scootin' is hard work! I'm tired~

Brynne continues to practice standing every day in her exersaucer, she really likes it because she can see everything brother is doing around her~

Landon got Mama's squinty eyes...Brynne got Mama's legs! LOL, poor thing!~
