Boobies!

My son LOVES boobs. It's becoming freaking embarrassing a slight problem. Everywhere we go he has to point out all the 'boobies' on all the women. Even more embarassing he tends to point out the 'boobies' on men too. This started only a few weeks ago and seems to be getting worse. Landon only nursed for about 6 weeks and TRUST me...I never walk around the house naked, LOL. So we have no idea where his 'boobie' fascination came from (aside from the fact that his is 100% ALL BOY!) He notices the 'boobies' on TV, in my magazines, and on random people walking on the road. We were in Target a few days ago and Landon said "I see her boobies Mama." atleast 12 different times, to about 6 different women who were shopping and minding their own business. A few of them laughed, a few of them ignored him (or hopefully didn't hear him) and one gave me a very dirty look. Yes Ma'am apparently I am raising a pervert and for that I apologise!

Just in time for summer!

Popsicle brand has introduced the best product ever! Slow melt Popsicles! They have a touch of gelatin in each Popsicle so they melt slower and drip MUCH less! They also come in 'mini' size which are perfect for toddlers! I couldn't find a picture of the mini box on the web though! The mini Popsicles are about 2/3 smaller than the normal size. Before I have always given Landon and Brynne Popsicles outside or in the bathtub only. Not anymore. These are great and both kids finish them before they start really dripping.

This picture is from the other day, after we saw the 'Mister Bunny." The Popsicles are the perfect size! LOVE them! Try them, you will not be disappointed!

Our visit with the 'Mister Bunny'

Landon is very excited about all of the 'Mister Bunny' stuff that is filling the stores lately. We have tried to explain to him that this is the Easter Bunny, but he just sticks with 'Mister Bunny.' We think it is cute, and so funny! I just want to have the documentation on the blog.
We took the kids to the mall this afternoon to see the 'Mister Bunny.'
First we let them play on the toys. Brynne has really become a great climber lately and has no problem keeping up with Landon as they play together now.

Patiently waiting their turn. Brynne had no idea what Mama and Daddy had in store for her...

Catching her first glimpse of the 'Mister Bunny.' She waved hi and was talking and happy to see him, from a distance...

Landon, showing Brynne how it's done...

Brynne showing Mama how a nice outing to the mall can quickly become an embarrassing public display of neglectful parenting at its best...

Luckily these pictures are from our personal camera and the picture we bought actually turned out a little better. I can't figure out how to use my scanner, so I will post it tomorrow.
In recent weeks our sweet princess has really begun to perfect the art of 'emotional breakdowns' and 'screaming tantrums!' I am working on an entire post dedicated to Brynne and her new & improved (and slightly more dramatic) personality. Coming soon to a blog near you...watch for it!

Pray for Stellan!

I know most of you follow MckMama and her 'Charming Kids.' Well her sweet baby boy Stellan, whose health we all successfully prayed for last year, has been admitted to the hospital and is having problems with his heart. Visit her blog for updates, until then please pray again for her sweet boy!

Good Morning!

So far today I have had 2 bagels (toasted sesame with butter if you MUST know, geesh) dealt with not one, not 2, but 3 meltdowns...none of which were my own! Given myself what is quite possibly the largest, and most painful splinter ever, wondered why the hell we decided to have two kids in 2 years, cursed mother nature for the FREEZING and wet weather that has somehow replaced the 72 degree weather we had on Friday, and have managed to make "GET OFF THE FURNITURE NOW" the most overused phrase in our house. What's worse? It's not even 11:00a yet! I'm in for a looooong day.
On a more positive note we decided to switch the kids' bedrooms. Yep, Landon went into Brynne's room which is slightly larger, and Brynne went into Landon's room. It took about 2 days for me to organize everything and get their furniture situated. Next up...painting. I will post pictures soon. As for now I am going to have a meltdown of my own explain to Landon for the 37th time today that we do not jump off the dining room table. You think I'm kidding? I'm NOT!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Travis' birthday. Travis is the best husband and father I know. He works so hard around the house making it a home for his family. We love our daddy so much and appreciate all the nice things he does for us.~
He tirelessly moves on from project to project all while never neglecting his role as Dad!~
No matter what project Daddy is working on he always lets Landon get in the way and make a HUGE mess help, and teaches him so much along the way! Travis is not usually a patient person, but as soon as Landon becomes involved his demeanor changes and he becomes the sweetest Daddy who is so proud of all the 'help' Landon gives.~

Our Daddy is SO much fun, and always keeps us laughing! Nobody thinks he's as funny as he does though!~

Our Daddy loves us SO much and always makes time for playing, learning, laughing, and LOVE!

This little girl has had Daddy wrapped around her little finger since day one! Brynne LOVES her Daddy and will often run to him with her arms up just giggling. She always yells out 'Dada" at the top of her lungs as he disappears out of her sight throughout the day~

Landon wants to be just like Travis and tries so hard to do all of the amazing things that Daddy does. Like jump high, run fast, and work on many projects involving tools around the house. It melts this Mama's heart just to see how much Landon tries to be exactly like his Dad! Whether it's their we're bored after 5 minutes whine short attention span, or adventurous spirit these two are peas in a pod!~

I truly believe that my kids are blessed beyond measure having Travis as their Daddy. He is the perfect compliment to me. Where I am lenient, he is strict. Where I am squeamish he is brave. Where I am emotional he is rational. We are definitely a good match!~

We love our Daddy so much and are SOOOO lucky to have him all to ourselves! Even when Daddy does dumb things like get his truck stuck in the snow, we laugh, and love him even more!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRAVIS! I love you SO much and hope you have the best day ever! Thank You for making my dreams of being a wife and Mama a reality!

Happy Tuesday!

So after a week of sick days, due to flu like symptoms, Landon went back to school today. We are still having a hard time with the 'Mama is actually leaving me' moment of realization. He shed a few tears today, but each day it gets easier for me, if not for him. Luckily we have been blessed and his teacher(s) are amazing. Lots of cuddles and reassurance as Mama walks out that door. I am so thankful for that. After leaving Landon at school Travis and I took Brynne to run a few errands. We got caught up in the garden center at Home Depot and lost track of time. The weather this week is amazing and definitely makes us want to work on the exterior of the house far a change. We bought the supplies Travis needed to fix and finish the front landscaping sprinklers, everything he needed to grass the front yard, and a HUGE tree to plant as well. We had a fun time and hope the weather stays warm! Brynne was such a good girl and got a lot of attention roaming through the flowers and plants. She is a totally different child while Landon is in school. She is so much more vocal and excited about everything. Hmm, maybe his school has a full time program? Kidding! So Travis is out front working on sprinklers and I am blogging. I should really be outside while the weather is gorgeous. When would I find time to blog and catch up on my recorded crap reality TV shows? And conveniently enough there is a box of peanut butter girl scout cookies eyeing me from the counter! What's a girl to do?

A few Vegas Pictures...

I took this picture right before I left for Vegas Friday. Landon was still not feeling well and the kids were having Popsicle's and watching cartoons...
I am on the left, my good friend Kim on the right, and in the center Brenda, the soon-t0-be bride we were celebrating with in Vegas...

Dinner at Cathouse in the Luxor...

Cathouse sent our tables these amazing cotton candy desserts. I am not a huge fan of cotton candy, and definitely not a fan of banana cotton candy, LOL...

We stayed at Wynn. It is one of the newer casino/hotel's and it was gorgeous! I especially loved these tress that were covered in mini-lights lining their registration area. So pretty!

Some of the girls dancing the night away at Tryst...

Another picture with about half of us...

Kim and I having lunch on Saturday afternoon. We ate at a really nice outdoor mall and then did a lot of shopping at Old Navy!! It was SO much fun...

Ready to go out for the night on Saturday. All the girls wore black dresses, except for Brenda who wore white! I don't have a pic of all of us that night...

Kim and I, we have been friends for almost 20 years!!

Saying our goodbyes to everyone on the patio at Wynn...

My Sunday drive home from Vegas took FOREVER thanks to traffic, accidents and road construction. I was SO excited to finally get home to these two! (and of course their Daddy too!)

They had a great weekend with Daddy, complete with playtime with their cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house, the playground at the Country Club with Auntie Clair, and McDonald's for lunch with Auntie Amy! Landon is back to his old self and feeling fine again.

Mother's guilt...

Mother's Guilt is a horrible thing. I am heading to Vegas this afternoon for a girls trip that has been planned since well before Christmas last year. I won't be back home until Sunday afternoon. Landon was doing better after his Monday night flu episode and was almost back to his obnoxious normal self by Wednesday afternoon. Then Thursday morning he woke up super early and the puking started all over again. He seems to be doing ok today so far. The boy is just not interested in eating, at all. I am worried about leaving him, and Brynne, alone with Daddy for 2 and a half days. I know Daddy is very competent and will take great care of them, I just know how hard it can be dealing with the both of them when Landon is not feeling well. So please send prayers our way that my little man will feel better soon, and Daddy will have an easy weekend with our two obnoxious perfectly behaved children!

I seem to have every minute planned out from 10 am this morning when I head to work to Sunday at 1:00p when I drop my friend Kim back off at the airport. It is sure to be a busy, and fun filled weekend! The best part you ask? When my best friend from Texas visits so does her 25% Old Navy employee discount!

You can bet I'll be buying this...

and this...

these too...

and of course these...

I'll be back Sunday with my Vegas tell all post, until then have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Puke and Pigtails

Landon is sick. He sprung the flu on us at 9pm yesterday and had a miserable night! Mama spent the night doing laundry and cleaning up various messes, Landon spent the night whining, crying, puking, and wandering around miserably. Daddy and Brynne spent the night sleeping. This picture pretty much sums up how my little guy is feeling...

On a more happy note...a certain little member of this family hit a milestone this past week!

FIRST pigtails!!

The view from above! Brynne was instantly transformed into a BIG girl when I put her hair in pigtails. She looked so CUTE! Oh, I LOVE having a girl (:

I'm still hungry...

So tonight after work I was starving and went to In-N-Out for a late dinner! The drive thru wasn't busy at all but my food was taking forever! The girl who was working the window told me that she was waiting on fresh fries. I waited patiently, got my food and went on my way. Let me tell you, these were the BEST french fries ever!! Yum! I had only enjoyed two of them when some idiot pulls out right in front of me going like 10 miles an hour. I slam on the brakes, and yes...my precious french fries slid off the console and right onto the floor! I do not like food that has been on the floor, and I am not a believer in the '5 second rule.' So on the floor the fries stayed! UGH, so annoying. My ass and thighs thank you Mr. Asshole driver!

And, a side note for my out of California Blogger friends. You have NO idea, and I mean NO idea what you are missing by not living on the West coast and enjoying In-N-Out! I mean I'm all for a Chick-fil-A number 2 combo with a diet coke...but NOTHING from any other fast food place could compare to In-N-Out!

Man Candy

Like him or not, the man can wear a 3 piece suit! Can he not?
I may or may not be 're-thinking' my obsession with slight crush on Matt Damon...
Who are your celebrity Man Candies?

Mama's BIG Girl!

Sticking your tongue out provides the deepest concentration and the ability to climb anything!

A little encouragement from big brother...

And she did it! First time on the slide by herself!

How does Mama reward such Big Girl behavior?
With a cookie of course!!

YUMMY!
