Ugh, fun times...

This morning Brynne woke up fussy and not feeling well. I went into her room and she was covered, head to toe, in this horrible rash. We had her in the Dr.'s office first thing this morning. Apparently she had an allergic reaction to the amoxicillin she was taking for her ear infections. She has been taking it for 9 days now, but the rash just appeared. We have her on some Benadryl now and hopefully will see some improvement as soon as the end of the day. She is moody, irritable, tired, groggy and not feeling well!
Poor baby girl ):

Poor baby...and poor mama, dealing with that on the heels of having a sick boy, too. Whew...makes for a rough few days. I'll pray they both get to feeling better quick.

It does seem like the sick cycle will never end when the kiddos first go off to school. My husband went through that when he changed schools (he's a teacher). Our doctor explained that you have to get acclimated to a new 'germ' pool. Once he's built up immunities to that 'pool' of germs, he'll probably be pretty healthy and robust for a long, long time.

Hang in there, mom!

OH MY GOODNESS...this is awful. I can't even imagine. Bless her sweet, sweet heart and yours. Our dear little neighbor boy has been through this over and over (allergic to all antibiotics)...but his first reaction looked like this. I will pray this goes away QUICKLY. Thinking of you. Keep us posted.

Yikes, that is so scarey. That's crazy that it took 9 days for the rash to appear. Hope the benadryl worked for her!!

This just happened to Taylor!!! Exactly the same thing. We used Benadryl and Zyrtec and it cleared up in just a few days!

Poor baby!! Jake reacted bad to an antibiotic too... We actually went through 5 different antibiotics to kick his ear infection.. Yeh! Friggin' 5!!! So sorry girl... I think its always 100 times harder on the mama to see their child uncomfortable =( Take care!
